BREED CAPABILITY TESTS

ALL EXERCISES WILL BE DONE ON LEASH UNLESS OFF LEASH IS STATED IN THE EXERCISE.

LEASH MUST REMAIN LOOSE AT ALL TIMES.

NO CORRECTIONS DURING THE EXERCISE.

ALL DOGS MUST BE ON FUR SAVER COLLAR OR STANDARD CHOKE ON THE DEAD RING.

 UDGE WILL CALL OUT THE EXERCISES.

B-CAP AVERAGE:
Heel with dog on left or right side 25 paces.  Horn will blow three times throughout exercise at random intervals. Dog must not overreact and must stay under control.  At the end of 25 paces, make left or right about turn.  Heel back up field into mulling crowd of six people.  Stop in center of crowd.  Each person will walk up individually and make contact with the handler.  Dog must stay under control.  After all six people have made contact, the complete crowd will walk up and crowd handler and dog, then back away.  When crowd backs away, judge will indicate to continue on and handler and dog will walk over to strange surface (10 x 10 tarp on ground).  Handler will sit dog in center of tarp, then heel off tarp on judges signal.  End of B-CAP Average.

B-CAP GOOD:
Retrieve object of choice 6 consecutive times.  Throw must be at least 30 foot each time.  Dog must stay focused on activity for duration.  Handler must stay behind line at all times during activity.

36" vertical jump.  May use any form of bait.  Contact with jump will not be considered a fault.  Dog is only required to jump one way.

36" long jump.  May be conducted on or off leash.  If on leash, leash must remain loose at all times, no correction prior to jumping.  No "help" correction prior or during jump.  End of B-CAP Good.

B-CAP EXCELLENT:
Drag Sled: Dog must pull two times body weight a minimum of 16 feet.  No bait allowed.

Four Mile Run:  Judge will check dog at two mile mark and a three minute rest will be allowed.  Handler may have a runner or ride a bicycle.

48" Long Jump:  May use bait.  May be conducted on or off leash.  No "help" correction with leash prior or during jump.

Hang Time:  Hang Time can be done off of any apparatus, using object of choice OR Handler may suspend own dog, but no contact between handler and dog may occur during activity.  Dog is allowed two rebites.  Clock will stop when dog touches ground or handler OR when the dog comes off the bite.  Clock starts on rebite.  End of B-CAP Excellent.

 

OBEDIENCE TITLES

Leash must remain loose during all phases of Obedience-1.

OB-1: 
    Walk 24 paces, make about turn and proceed 4 paces.  Halt and sit dog with verbal or non-verbal command.  Leash correction is a fault.
    On judge's signal, continue toward judge 20 paces, come to a stop and down the dog.  Leave dog in the down position and walk away 12 paces.  Dog must remain in the down position for a minimum of 20 seconds.  Walk back to dog, pick up leash and dog must remain in down position until judge signals that the exercise is complete.  End of OB-1

OB-2:
        Heel up field no less than 20 paces, no more than 15 paces and down or sit dog in motion while you continue 20 paces.  Recall to front finish or heel finish.  Heel dog up the field 40 paces, sit dog on pause box and continue without dog 20 paces.  Turn and face dog, recall to front or heel position.  End of OB-2

OB-3:
    Repeat OB-1 and OB-2 off leash ending on pause box.  Off pause box, heel off pool full of water bottles and sit dog in pool on judge's command, then down dog.  The dog must stay in pool while you walk 15 paces away from the dog.  On judge's command ,recall dog to front or heel position.  On judge's command, heel with dog to 36" vertical jump.  Handler stands no more than 10' away from jump, throws object of choice and dog must go over jump, retrieve object and come back over jump.  On judge's command, heel over to 48" long jump.  Starting point will be 15 paces away from jump.  Dog must go over jump (no contact with jump) and jump only has to be one way.  End of OB-3.
